48 Hours in Quebec City

Since I moved to Canada, I have been reading about the beauty of this picturesque town. I don’t think you will find such European charm anywhere else is North America from storied past, narrow alleys, and magnificent architecture. Plus, if you are brave enough to venture out in a bit of cold (I mean very cold ~-30 ° C), you will find this place turns literally into a fairy tale castle during Christmas that you may have only seen in Disney movies. How to reach You can fly to Jean Lesage International Airport, which is approximately 30 minutes away from Old Quebec City. The other option is to drive from Montreal, which is approximately 3 hours away. We drove to Quebec City from Toronto, which is approximately 8 hours. Greece

A trip planned with lots of hustle and bustle with uncertainty on destination to go and the dates. As June is considered to be a peak season with crowd everywhere and scorching heat at most part of the World, I ended up with Greece. Still I was not sure whether I should go or not as the biggest tourist attraction of Greece “Parthenon” was still under renovation. Despite of so many ifs and buts, I finally visited Greece.

Greece is a well blend of history and nature. At this time Greece was undergoing economic crisis but after visiting I didn’t felt any issue due to crisis. It’s a well-developed country with well-maintained archeological sites.

I started my trip with the ancient part of Greece in which I drove from Athens to Corinth, Olympia, Delphi and Meteora. It was one of the most beautiful and adventurous drive till now. The narrow lanes and the mountains with ocean on the other side steep roads. There you will get an opportunity to see the oldest Olympic stadium i.e. the place from where Olympics has started.

It was almost impossible to pick between the islands to visit. As each island has its own beauty and uniqueness. Still I managed to select two island Mykonos and Santorini. Mykonos has one of the best beaches and the best place party around with youth crowd all around. Santorini on the other hand was having some amazing villages with beautiful blend in colors of village.

The land of Greece is as beautiful with a classical blend of history as the beauty of island. The typical Greek food is just mouthwatering. As I am vegetarian so I didn’t have chance to taste much of the Greek food. But I just loved stuffed tomatoes.

Greece is very famous for its wine and food. Greek islands give a spectacular view during sunsets. As the trip ends so the visit to the Greece come to end with lots of memories captured in my heart. I will post detailed Greece itinerary and destination highlights soon.
