48 Hours in Quebec City

One Week Road Trip in Canadian Rockies

Let me take you away from the daily routine life, the concrete jungle of the cities, to get lost in the immense natural beauty of Alberta. Here is a one week suggested Itinerary for Banff National Park and Jasper National Park.


Day 1: Arrive in Calgary

Rent a Car from Airport. Stay a night in Calgary and Relax.

Day 2: Icefields Parkway

After having Breakfast in Calgary, its time to head towards Icefield Parkway. Its approximately 3 hours drive from Calgary. Explore the falls and glaciers in Icefield Parkway and drive to Jasper and spend the night in Jasper Town.

Day 3: Jasper National Park

Explore and indulge in the beauty of the park and stay in Jasper only. You can explore Maligne Canyon area, Medicine Lake.

Day 4: Jasper National Park

Explore the area around Jasper Town and also cover Mount Edith Cavell and stay in Jasper. If you want, you can also drive to Banff National Park in the evening and stay in Banff. Banff town is approximately 4 hours drive from Jasper town.

Day 5: Banff National Park

Early morning leave from Jasper to Banff. Its a 4-hour drive from Jasper to Banff town. Stay in Banff and can also explore the area around the town.

Day 6: Banff National Park

Explore Lake Louise, Lake Moraine and Yoho National Park entire day and spend the night in Banff Town.

Day 7: Banff National Park

Explore the remaining areas of the National park and spend the night in Banff Town.

Day 8: Depart from Calgary

Drive back to Calgary and fly back.

Please note this itinerary assumes limited time for hiking. If you want to take it a bit slow / do hikes, you may want to add 2-3 days to the plan.

You can also reverse the itinerary and explore the area.
